OHIO webmaster, please add the following to the "Happy Dog Box #1".

If you can, please change the title to "Happy Dog Series" & change the box count to 3. (plus nearby bonus box belonging to Franzsolo)

Don't forget to get Franzsolo's "Bonus Box" very near box #1 before you move on! After you replace box #1, get back on the main trail (by the water bar) & continue your trek away from the small bridge. After 5 water bars, you will see a bench.

NOTE: The websites containing the clues/answers for the following questions are also great for general surfing & contain TONS of great info about dogs!

Stand between the bench & the homes for wildlife. Answer the following question to get the compass reading you need to take:

Spay/neuter is important because during an average year at the Edmonton SPCA, staff are forced to euthanize anywhere from _______dogs and cats, puppies and kittens (some sick, but most perfectly healthy)

The following are reasons for letting go of the "Dominance Paradigm " (in other words, being dominant over your dog)

a) Dogs that are pushed around by their owners who are attempting to show them "who's boss" are more apt to redirect aggression to other humans and dogs = 250 degrees

b) Wolves respond well to the dominance of humans & our dogs are domesticated wolves = 264 degrees

c) The staff at wolf park use dominance, so dog owners should too = 350 degrees

When backpacking with your dog:

a) A well-conditioned dog can carry up to 1/3 of its weight in a balanced pack that is positioned over it's shoulders = 12 steps

c) be sure the weight of the pack sits in the middle of the dog's back = 5 steps

Look at the tree for a pie shaped rock. What you seek is a micro box under the rock. Be discrete & Re-hide well, making it look as natural as possible.

This is a bonus (no questions to answer :-)

After box #2 is securely back in it's hiding place, go back to the bench & continue down the main trail. You will pass by "Shallow Beginnings" & may be able to increase your 'lizard' count :-) Continue on to cross the long boardwalk. At the end of the board walk, count 2 waterbars. From the second waterbar, go 25 steps. See a tree on your left that had 4 trunks? At the very edge of the trail in front of this tree is a triangular shaped rock. What you seek is under this rock. Since this is on the trail, be discrete & move away from the spot to stamp in, then re-hide well. Continue on the trail to get back to your car.
